Rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant with the Winnipeg Police Service, G. Paul Isaak has held numerous frontline and administrative roles over his policing career that spanned more than three decades, including lengthy positions within the Forensic Service Unit and as a Critical Incident Program Coordinator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Police and Law Enforcement and Psychology and another in Religious Studies, along with numerous certifications, including those as an instructor for group crisis intervention and for individual and peer support. Isaak has provided leadership in conducting hundreds of post critical incident stress debriefings and critical incident diffusing sessions and is an international presenter on related topics. The survivor of a brain tumor, which he battled amidst the loss of his mother-in-law to a senseless murder, Isaak is no stranger to literal life and death experiences. He has learned firsthand the value of strong leadership, friendship and the healing properties he has experienced within the natural world and among the foundations of faith.
